I've been chosen

I first posted this in Fatman's Religion. But I decided to post it here, also.

I don't think I've ever done this before. I think I'll simply paste this directly from an email I received from a friend in North Dakota:

Whenever I'm disappointed with my spot in life, I stop and think about little Jamie Scott. Jamie was trying out for a part in the school play. His mother told me that he'd set his heart on being in it, though she feared he would not be chosen.

On the day the parts were awarded, I went with her to pick him up after school. Jamie rushed up to her, eyes shining with pride and excitement. "Guess what, Mom ," he shouted, and then said those words that will forever remain a lesson to me....

"I've been chosen to clap and cheer."

whether you've been chosen to lead or follow

whether acknowledged or unknown
whether yours is to speak or be silent

may you always clap and cheer !!!!!!!

Blogging

I had so much fun when I first set up this (these) blog(s). But it's been so long since I've posted anything. Seems like Facebook has taken over the world these days. But Facebook communication seems so short and fast that there's precious little thought and waaaaaay too many mindless apps.

However, thanks to a dear friend's rediscovery of their own blog, I think I just might resume blogging. We'll see how it goes...

Sara Groves - When It Was Over

I really, really, truly love this part of this song !!!!!

Oh love, wash over a multitude of things
Love wash over a multitude of things
Love wash over a multitude of things
Make us whole, make us whole, make us whole

There is a love that never fails
There is a healing that always prevails
There is a hope that whispers a vow
A promise to wait while we’re working it out
So come with Your love and wash over us

Oh, oh, oh

Love, wash over a multitude of things
Love wash over a multitude of things
Jesus save us from a multitude of things
Make us whole, make us whole, make us whole

There is a love that never fails
There is a healing that always prevails
There is a hope that whispers a vow
A promise to wait while we’re working it out

There is a love
There is a hope
A promise to wait, a promise to stay
So come with Your love and wash over us
